I was picking Shush up from preschool on Wednesday last week. The teacher comes out about 5 minutes before dismissal and gives us a quick synopsis of the day. She lets us know on what letter or number was the day, they did a matching worksheet, and they went to the library and checked out books. This day the class choose a book called A Tree Named Steve. Which opened up a conversation about the trees at the kids homes.
This is the point that I covered may face, and prayed that Shush didn’t say anything. NOPE! Mrs. S. says “And Shush shared with the whole class (18 kids) that the tree at her sister’s bus stop is named Butt Cheeks!” I turn bright red. I can’t believe she told 18 kids and 2 teachers that they call this tree at the bus stop Butt Cheeks. Although in truth the knots in the tree do look a little like butt cheeks.
So to all my preschool momma friends, I apologize.
I would like to quote The Great and Powerful Jen (she’s raising 4 boys)at this point in time…”I can neither take credit or blame for the things that come out of my children’s mouth!”
