Products/Services/Resources We Review

Anything we post must preserve continuity with the overall content of our site.  Our primary consideration for accepting requests for reviews is whether the product/service/resource can help our busy readers.

Made for kids?  We will only review children’s products designed for our kids’ ages (2-8).   This does not mean our children will be the only testers; we do have ways of procuring more kids if we need a larger sampling (or a tie-breaker).

Our Commitment

We do not endorse products we do not genuinely like or consider to be in any way offensive.  

We post both solicited and unsolicited reviews and will identify this with category information.

We feel there is enough negative in the world already, therefore will only post positive reviews. See below for more on this.

How long will it take?

When you ‘Contact Us’ for a review, you can expect a response within 2-5 days.  Depending on the product we will give you an estimate for when you can expect the draft review.  Typically the time is 7-10 days from when receive a product (or access).

How much does it cost?

We consider our time of great value, so we do request compensation for our effort.  Although we can and will accept Paypal funds, our preferred method of compensation is products or coupon codes we can share with our readers.  The retail cost of any product or service we receive (to review) will be considered part of our compensation.

Who will conduct the review?

This is product/service/resource specific. If it’s made for adults, whomever is more likely to use/need it.  If it’s made for kids, we consider the targeted ages.  We strive to ensure you get a thorough, honest review.  

What if we don’t like your product?

Don’t worry, we won’t post a negative review.  We will provide you with our honest feedback privately and offer to re-evaluate if/when future changes might affect our original opinion.  Compensation for reviews is for our time and effort, therefore not refundable/returnable.

What does a review look like?

Reviews will be published as posts so all our subscribers will see it, and are simultaneously published on our Facebook page and Twitter Feed.  A product image will also be added to our ‘Stuff We Like’ board on Pinterest.  If you let us know where your product is sold we will do our best to post a review there (i.e. Amazon, Google Play Store, iTunes, etc…).  We will post a permanent link to a printable/downloadable review on our ‘Stuff we Like’ page and links to purchase when applicable.  If you choose to provide giveaways for our subscribers, you will enjoy a separate opportunity to reach them through the contest.  See the ‘Stuff We Like’ page for previous reviews.
