It Finally Feels Like Winter…Snow, Christmas, and Elves

So there are a few elves in our house now; Mom and Dad, who are busy buying, wrapping, and sending gifts across the country.  Mr. C is a little elfish; mostly because he is two and I think about the same height as a real elf.  He also does a great job decorating and even “helped” me wrap some gifts today (before he spread a whole roll of wrapping paper on the living room floor).  And then we have our new Elf… you know, the one that sits on the shelf 😉  Since my son doesn’t quite know who Santa is yet, or his glorious toy-mission, the book that came with this Elf actually served as his introduction.   At two, I’m sure he doesn’t quite get the entire concept,  as evidenced on the first day we got him, when Mr.C made a valiant attempt to reach him (a 6-inch step-stool just didn’t do the trick).  It’s probably good we’re starting early as I am not quite on-the-ball with moving him and he obviously needs a warm-up year too before I can place him cleverly without risk of his being touched (and losing all his magic).  I wonder if there is a video yet, if anyone knows, please share!
